Coffee + Music + Metals
This week is an exciting one! I am preparing for State of the Art: Savannah Style, taking place Saturday, April 30th. My pieces will be on the runway with Merline Labissiere’s Fall/Winter 16 collection. There are two other badass women participating in the show, Brooke Atwood and Meredith Anne Sutton. The event will include a pop-up shop before and after the show.
I spent most of the weekend fueling up with coffee and listening to my “good vibes” playlist (below) as I hammered and soldered metals. These activities will continue the nights leading up to the show. I love the excitement and slight nervousness I am feeling.
I’m a sucker for a good display, so one of the things I am looking forward to is getting my table together for the show. I have awesome, generous, and talented friends who I have reached out to for resources. My awesome and creative friend Brad has cut out some unfinished wood shapes I will be using to display my pieces. My friend at Measure: a fabric parlor helped me find the perfect leather to serve as earring holders. My thoughtful friend Claudia helped me by stamping my bags and packaging. I am so grateful!
Here is a picture I took while laying out some display options:
I’ll keep you all posted. Thank you so much for your support and encouragement during this journey. I look forward to raising some more funds!
